If every minute was an hour and every second was a minute.

Time management has probably been the biggest problem in my life, and even though I've been preached about it from the minute I was born, I still managed to become a victim to it. It's like everyday that I tell myself that to work earlier, or do this today and not tomorrow, but it never happens; I know it won't happen, almost like procrastination is simply built into my very system.

I won't lie, but I practically live in the library; at least, it's the place where I spend most of my time, that and the darkroom. I would be in school M - Th and Saturday, work full days on Mondays an
d Wednesdays. Then, on the weekends I'll be in the darkroom and library where I can find my peace studying or just playing cell phone games. I have literally no time for my hobbies or even spending time with my friends except for times at the gym and the occasional bumping into library chats.

So far, it’s only the beginning, but I'm already getting pressured from a class like photography; It's not easy to find time to go
out, take pictures, and develop them. Of course, people always get the idea of photography being an easy class; After all, how can you grade something that’s focused so heavily on perspective. Unfortunately, this isn’t your everyday take a picture of a rock, bullshit some meaning from it, get an A, class.

In the end, it's really up to me and how I want to manage my time; But with so much to do (not to mention my hobbies) and so little time, I guess there will be set backs and trade-offs to be taken, hopefully none too severe. And when the stress builds up, I always have my friends to lean back on.

  1. Hi Simon! I want you to know as a college student, I have the same problem as you. TIME MANAGEMENT. I never have enough time, and it does get stressful at times. I try to go to the library to study or do homework but the eerie silence breaks my concentration, and not to mention when I'm in study mode, a little noise from paper crinkling irritates me. HAHA.

BTW, I'd like to say how much I adore your title, its so creative.

  2. Thank you for your pictures that go with your blog entries, at least you have time for that right? So far i've read three entries regarding to time management, very common and popular problem amongst college students. I am a big time procrastinator. I always believed that i can get things done so fast and that i work better under pressure. That is true in most cases, but when you cramp three chapters in one night .. that is a big no no. I believe procrastination is built into people, but then there are a few that are so unique and have the self control to over come it. haha .. one day Simon Tse you will be able to come your procrastination and do things on time. one day ... hopefully. but yes you will always have your friends to falll back on !

i want to go to the gym but no time for that ):
time management sucks. you really have to get your priorities straight.
for me, it just means less time for friends and no time for gym and less sleep. which sucks but yea. i guess, its all about what youre willing to sacrifice at the moment.
but like you said, at least you know you hav friends that will be there for you (:
